Question 1

Which areas do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We're based in Morrinsville and work across Matamata-Piako and the eastern Waikato: Morrinsville, Matamata, Te Aroha, Tamahere and Matangi, and Hamilton East. For garden maintenance, landscaping and lawn mowing we travel up to about 45 km from Morrinsville; for landscape design we travel further, up to about 75 km. We don't service West Hamilton.

Question 2

Do you mow lawns in Hamilton?

Accepted Answer

No. We don't offer lawn mowing in Hamilton. We do offer landscape design, landscaping and garden maintenance in Hamilton East.

Question 3

How far will you travel for lawn mowing?

Accepted Answer

Lawn mowing is for properties within about 25 km of Morrinsville that suit a ride-on mower: large residential sections, lifestyle blocks, farms and commercial sites. For larger landscaping and design projects the job size justifies travelling further.

Question 4

Do you mow small suburban lawns?

Accepted Answer

Our mowing service is set up for ride-on mowing: large residential properties, lifestyle blocks, farm and commercial sites. If your lawn is a small town section, we're probably not the right fit for mowing, but we'd be glad to help with garden maintenance, hedges or a garden project.

Question 5

Is there anything you don't do?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We don't offer large arborist tree work, concrete work, retaining walls, fencing, agricultural hedge trimming. Concrete can be part of a larger landscape design we're building.

Question 6

Do you build retaining walls or do concrete work?

Accepted Answer

We don't build retaining walls. Concrete work is only something we take on when it's part of a large landscape design we're delivering, not as a stand-alone job.

Question 7

Are you qualified to spray?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our applicators are GROWSAFE certified. Spot weed spraying is included in our garden maintenance packages, and we offer weed and pest control as a stand-alone service.

Question 8

What's the difference between a Full Landscape Design and a Sketch Design?

Accepted Answer

A Full Landscape Design takes a property from concept to implementation: site measurements, computer-generated plans, hard-landscaping concepts and staged implementation guidance. It suits property transformations, new builds and lifestyle properties. A Sketch Design & Planting Plan gives you concept sketches, the basic garden structure and planting recommendations suited to local conditions, and suits smaller residential projects, garden upgrades and anyone who wants visual direction before committing.

Question 9

Will you build the design as well?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Design, construction and ongoing maintenance are all done by the KLG team, so the plan, the planting and the aftercare are joined up.

Question 10

What do the maintenance packages cost?

Accepted Answer

Our 2026 gardening packages are Bronze Essentials ($195 + GST per month), Silver Elegance ($325 + GST per month) and Golden Retreat ($495 + GST per month). Each one sets out exactly what's included; extras such as plants, mulch, fertiliser and specialist sprays are charged in addition, and extra hours on top of a package are $68 + GST per hour.

Question 11

Is there a minimum term or any other conditions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every package starts with a property evaluation so we can agree the best fit, and there's a minimum 6-month commitment. A signed agreement is needed before we start, invoices go out on the 20th of each month (payable within 7 days or on a date we agree), and properties more than 10 km from our Morrinsville base are subject to a kilometre charge.

Question 12

Can I get a one-off garden clean-up instead of a package?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside the packages we take on one-off garden projects: overgrown gardens, seasonal tidy-ups, hedge and shrub removal, mulching and replanting.

Question 13

How do I get a quote?

Accepted Answer

Use the enquiry form on this site or call 0800 537 372. Tell us which service you're after and where the property is; for landscaping and design we'll arrange a site visit.

Question 14

Do you work with commercial sites?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We look after retirement villages, healthcare facilities and business premises in and around Morrinsville, covering mowing, edges, hedges, pruning and general grounds maintenance on an agreed schedule.
